For those who want the specifications: here are the algorithms and standards Taski uses.

  • Messages and calls

    AES-256-GCM encryption with X25519 key exchange. The key exists only on the participants' phones.

  • iCloud backup

    Encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key is derived from your password via PBKDF2. The password never leaves the device.

  • Key verification (AKD)

    Hash chain with Ed25519 signature. Guarantees key consistency over time, without having to trust the server.
